Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services of Castle Grab Hire. By booking our services, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions below.
1. Definitions
- "The Company" refers to Castle Grab Hire.
- "The Client" refers to any person, firm, or company who books and uses the services of The Company.
- "Services" refers to muck away, site clearance, aggregate delivery, and any other service provided by The Company.
- "Site" refers to the location where the services are to be performed.
2. Quotes and Pricing
- All prices quoted are valid for 30 days.
- The live price estimator on our website provides an estimate for our services. This is not a final quote. The final price will be confirmed by The Company upon booking.
- Prices for "Muck Away" are quoted per load (approx. 16 tonnes). Prices for "Aggregate Delivery" are calculated based on the cost of materials and a delivery fee based on postcode.
- Any changes to the scope of work may result in a price adjustment.
3. Booking and Cancellation
- Bookings are subject to vehicle availability.
- The Client must provide a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a booking.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee at the discretion of The Company.
4. Client Responsibilities
- The Client must ensure that the Site is safe and accessible for an 8-wheel, 32-tonne grab lorry. A minimum access width of 3 meters is required.
- The Client is responsible for any necessary permits, licenses, or permissions for the work to be carried out.
- The ground surface of the Site must be stable and suitable to withstand the weight of the vehicle. The Company will not be held liable for any damage to driveways, paths, manholes, or underground services.
- For muck away services, materials must be placed in a single, accessible pile, within 7 meters of a suitable parking location for our vehicle.
5. Waste Materials (Muck Away)
- We accept soil, clay, rubble, concrete, bricks, and green waste.
- Mixed loads must be declared at the time of booking, as they may be subject to different pricing.
- We strictly DO NOT accept hazardous materials, including but not limited to: asbestos, oils, chemicals, tyres, plasterboard, insulation, refrigerators, or gas bottles. If such materials are found, The Company reserves the right to refuse the collection or to apply additional charges for safe disposal.
- The Company is a SEPA Registered Waste Carrier (Licence: WCR/R/3009194) and all waste is disposed of at licensed facilities.
6. Aggregate Delivery
- Delivery times are provided as an estimate and are not guaranteed.
- The Client must provide a clear and safe area for the delivery of materials. Once delivered, the responsibility for the materials transfers to The Client.
- The Company is not responsible for any issues arising from the use of the delivered materials, such as subsidence or contamination.
7. Payment
- Payment is due upon completion of the service, unless the Client has an approved credit account with The Company.
- We accept payment by bank transfer, cash or card.
- Some jobs may require a deposit or payment in full prior to commencement.
- The Company reserves the right to charge interest on any overdue invoices.
8. Liability
- The Company holds Public Liability Insurance.
- The Company's liability for any damage or loss is limited to the cost of the service provided.
- We are not liable for any delays or failures to perform our services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as traffic, weather, or mechanical failure.
